A Letter from NeoSoul President Leroy Brown
I wanted to send a note out and share some exciting events that have happened here at NeoSoul in the month of May. Every day, we continue to grow the brand which is due in large part to the work that many of our supporters contribute.
Laura Colville and Melinda Oakley represented NeoSoul in New Orleans at the Audubon Zoo Fundraiser, Zoo To Do (in the pouring rain). We were able to introduce our coffee to a host of restaurants and Audubon supporters. Despite the rain, the event went well. Thank you both for braving the elements and for helping the NeoSoul brand penetrate the New Orleans market.
Troy McNish, Sharon Woodard and Janae Lawson served NeoSoul at the Barack Obama headquarters in Durham. They provided doughnuts and coffee to the canvassing teams. Thanks to each of you for helping NeoSoul play a role in one of the most historic elections of our time.
Trey Steele designed and orchestrated our first story time at Northgate Mall. NeoSoul celebrity spokesperson Alvis Whitted brought down the house with flawless execution, keeping the children’s attention for more than an hour while he read two books and signed autographs. Thanks to both of you for helping to put our soul into “live a soulful life.”
Yours truly was on the road. After leaving a NeoSoul sponsored national awards banquet in DC for Men Can Stop Rape (see our ad here), I went to Minneapolis, MN where I attended the Specialty Coffee Association conference. It was cold and rainy, yet extremely productive.
NeoSoul was able to accomplish these things because of your hard work and dedication. I thank God for each you. Over the next few weeks we turn it up in the Triangle with even more community service events.
Remember to keep telling our story. The world needs to hear it….and better yet…the world is ready.
Again, thanks for everything.
Leroy
